The Beaches

Pobbles and Three Cliffs Bay (10 mins walk down, 20 up) have swimming, surfing, prawning, fishing, acres of sand at low tide; rock pools, caves, dunes and spectacular cliffs, extremely popular with walkers and rock climbers (both amateur and experienced).

Popular family beaches include Caswell and Langland. These have life guards and other ammenities.

Walks

A variety of walks can start from the front gate, for example, around the cliffs eastwards to Hunt’s Bay ( Cornish choughs breeding here), Pwll Du and Brandy Cove; westerly across the golf course to the ruins of Pennard Castle, or along the river valley towards Three Cliffs Bay and across stepping stones to Oxwich Bay (variety of water sports here) or up to Cefn Bryn, the ‘spine ‘of Gower.

Three Cliffs Bay

Three Cliffs Bay, just a short walk away is a renowned bay on the south coast of the Gower Peninsula. Pennard Pill, a large stream, flows into the sea in the middle of the bay. The beach qualifies for Blue Flag status. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year.

Pennard Golf Course

Pennard is a magnificent links course adjacent to Myrtle House & Cottage.
